Some recent snow has helped restore trails (slowly) over the last week. The massive amounts of melt that occurred created an icy base that will serve us well for the rest of the winter. It is still thin in some spots and there are some problem areas but as we get a little bit of snow here and there, those spots will gradually improve. Both the current and long term forecast calls for freezing temperatures both day and night and that should help the water crossings as well. We’ve certainly been in worse shape at this time of year so we hope for gradual build back to excellent conditions. Until then, enjoy what you have out there…seems like our friends out in Minnesota are getting the snow right now!
