Participation Gift
Noque 12K participants are not eligible to receive the Swix Hats, however they will receive a special gift with their race registration.  The Noque 12K is a great race to use as a stepping stone to the larger Noque.  Ski the 12K this year and then next year ski the Half Noque or the Full Noque!

Al Quaal Recreation Area
The 12K start and finish area will be hosted by Al Quaal Recreation Area and is located at 501 Poplar St, Ishpeming MI.  Participants will need to provide their own transportation to and from the Start area.

Due to safety concerns of people gathering indoors there will be no warming tent or facility available at Al Quaal Recreation Area.  Skiers should plan to use their own personal vehicle for warming and storage of personal items.  Portable toilets will be available on site.

Due to safety concerns with large gatherings no awards ceremony will be held this year.  A brief outdoor podium photo will take place for overall winners.  Overall awards will go to the top three finishers in each event.  Medals go to the top three in each age group for both Classic and Freestyle techniques in both Male and Female categories as follows: 14 and under, 15-18, 19-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, 65-74, 75+.

Computer chip timing provided by Superior Timing.

Aid Stations
A contactless aid station may be available – due to safety concerns and the resulting volunteer availability, 12K skiers should be ready to be self supported and bring their own bottle and nutrition this year.

Course Description
12K skiers will enjoy trails that are part of an FIS sanctioned race course and enjoy beautiful views of granite cliffs in the distance and well as nearby Deer Lake and Teal Lake.  12K skiers will have the course all to themselves this year – no full or half marathon skiers will be passing from behind!  Expect some good sized gradual climbs, manageable descents, and a course that novice and expert skiers alike will enjoy.
