Tuesday morning January 12, 2016

I woke this morning planning on skiing the race course from the finish back out towards Forestville. However, snow is falling hard, wind is blowing, schools are closed. I already have a couple of inches of snow at my house which is close to the finish line. We are expected to get 5-8 inches of snow today and more snow coming every day this week. Temperatures are in the mid-teens, falling closer to zero tomorrow, then warming to the high 20’s by the weekend (good snow packing temperatures). At this point, if all this snow continues to fall as is expected, I would anticipate that we will have enough snow for a full race next Saturday. I will continue to update you as we have more detailed information. My plan is to give a full course update this weekend, once I am able to get on the entire course, myself.

Regards,

Jon Mommaerts
Chief of Course
