Junior Noque
2027 Jr. Noque Date Change – Sunday, January 24th
New this year we are moving the Jr Noque to Sunday, January 24th, 2027 at Al Quaal. Friday night was very busy for the parents and kids to get to the Jr Noque on time plus after dark it get s colder. To try to bring more fun to the event and less stress we have moved to Sunday at 10 am. Our team is excited to share more details as we get closer to race weekend.
Thanks to a generous supporter there is NO COST for Junior Noque skiers to participate. Registration fees, and some primary operational expenses, are covered annually through this generous gift in memory of Cheri Rundman. Cheri, who skied the Noque for several years under the last name of Uelmen, was an elite level skier from Ishpeming who often placed in the top 5 or 10 places. Cheri spent a lot of time skiing at Al Quaal which is the location of the Junior Noque.
To further commemorate Cheri’s legacy, the Junior Noque is officially called the Rundman Jacobson Junior Noquemanon!
Pre-registration, with no fee, is still strongly recommended for all Junior skiers.
The 2027 Rundman Jacobson Junior Noquemanon will be held at Al Quaal Recreation area in Ishpeming.
